BEING AN ORIGINAL THINKER HAS ITS ADVANTAGES
HOWEVER, BEING ABLE TO THINK LIKE AVERAGE PEOPLE
is not one of them.
For example, let me tell you about my strategy for playing chess.
I AM NOT INTERESTED IN "BEATING" THE OTHER GUY
I play against the computer for the core purpose of sharpening my strategic thinking. I undo my stupid moves striving to remember never to make such a mistake again.
BEATING THE OTHER GUY IS IRRELEVANT. Since I undo my stupid moves I always win the games. So beating the other guy is irrelevant to me. What is relevant to me is that I develop strategies ON MY OWN. I learned some basics on YouTube, but I don't want to get too involved with studying master chess strategies. I want to come up with such strategies on my own.
THIS MAY BE AN ENIGMA TO YOU HOPELESSLY BRAINWASHED into thinking you MUST beat the other guy to be happy. There is no point when playing against the computer. The computer has no ego that is wounded by being defeated in a chess game.
Yes, I set that strategic level to the easiest at this point. Once I can get through games without feeling the need to undo a stupid move I intend to set the difficulty level higher.
So, these are the types of things original thinkers tend to do. They come up with ideas ON THEIR OWN. They are not always dependent upon learning from others to do great things.
You may feel what I am doing with chess is stupid, That is indeed YOUR opinion and, as we all know, opinions can be like farts. Sooner or later everybody has one.
