"...Despite his extensive experience of working with real orchestras, Mark does all the X-Files music at home, in his private studio. "First of all, there isn't the time to do a live orchestra score with this show. The copying, orchestrating, getting the musicians and so on, would be just impossible." Mark's equipment of choice is a Synclavier system: "About six or seven years ago, I got into the Synclavier (with Direct-to-Disk module). That's still my main piece of gear, and I find it the most elegant, fast, best-sounding thing available. People think that it has a 'sound', and it doesn't! It's just a storage device, an architecture and a digital sampler that's so fast and immediate. The sound is what's in the library, what's on the disks. People talk about all of these samplers that cost nothing compared to the Synclavier; well, that's fine, but this is still by far the best. Actually, even if there were months to do each score live, working from here is still preferable, because the Synclavier provides a marvellous collection of regular acoustic instrument sounds, in combination with all the atmospheric, textural things."
But, of course, New England Digital, the company behind the Synclavier, is now no more: "It was unfortunate, but I've had very good luck with my machine: it hasn't broken down too much at all. And now there's a company called Demas, based near the original NED site in New Hampshire, that is offering Synclavier support and software updates. Demas even employs some ex-Synclavier people."
Despite having a Mac in his studio, Mark actually also sequences with the Synclavier, in a linear fashion: "It's not a hugely powerful sequencer, but luckily I don't have to do a lot of dance arrangements or pop things, so it's just fine."
The Synclavier system may be at the heart of the studio, patched through a Soundcraft Sapphyre LC mixer, but that's not it for "MIDI boxes", as Mark refers to them: the studio also accommodates a Roland S760 sampler, Kurzweil MicroPiano module, an Emu Proteus 1, 2 (source of the famous X-Files whistle, in combination, apparently, with a sample of Snow's wife whistling!) and 3, Emu Morpheus, Korg M1R and Wavestation SR. But these are adjuncts to the core sound produced by the Synclavier and its large library: "I have all these great samples on the Synclavier's magneto drives." Mark doesn't do much sampling of his own: "There are so many sample disks available that I have people transfer them onto Synclavier format." And is there anything else he'd like to add to the studio? "Well, the only thing that means anything to me is new sounds or new combinations of sounds. All I care about is if somebody has a great new sound library. That's what I'm looking for. Since my background is music, rather than electronics and technology, I just know as much as I have to. There are so many other composers who know about sampling rates and all that technical stuff, but none of that really interests me. So apart from new sounds, I could maybe upgrade the RAM and the number of voices on the Synclavier..."
THE FINAL SCORE
I wondered if Mark's classical background helps him to create more convincing electronic simulations -- anyone who has listened to an X-Files soundtrack will vouch for its organic feel, even at its most impressionistic. "That's a really astute question, because in this day and age where these machines are so widely available, anybody can be a composer. But coming from an acoustic background, I tend to hear things in a very human, emotional, real way, and I strive for that in the samples and my electronic mock-up of the orchestra. It's a very important thing for me: the music has to have a sense of life to it."
When it comes to the final music mix, analogue two-track is definitely a thing of the past: "We use Tascam's DA88 8-track digital recorder -- I actually have Sony's PCM800 version. The music editor stripes a tape with timecode, and we mix down to that. We just drop the cassette into another machine at the mixing stage."

The atheists I have encountered cannot say something like: We believe the theory of evolution is a fact, but we could be wrong. They just can't do this! They have to PRETEND there is no scientific evidence against the THEORY (not fact) of evolution. Just as they turn a blind eye to Victor Zammit's scientific evidence for the afterlife they turn a blind eye to all scientific evidence disproving Darwinian evolution.
THAT IS THE PROBLEM!
The dogmatically fundamentalist's absolute certainty about things they are NOT absolutely certain of. This is what puts atheists on a par with idiot fundamentalist religious believers who blindly believe THEIR WAY is the ONLY WAY!
I have found there are THEORIES put forth by scientists determined to blindly believe there is no Intelligent Designer of the Universe and there are THEORIES from scientists who feel there just might be an Intelligent Designer of the Universe and their THEORIES tend to conflict.
1) Humans measure time by the rotation of the planet Earth. My THEORY is that it is pompous and insanely conceited to blindly assume the entire universe MUST abide by the human measurement of time.
WHO KNOWS if the Earth was revolving at the same rate it now is billions of years ago? It might have taken ten-years for the Earth to revolve just once, billions of years ago. What does that do towards the understanding of how old the Earth is? My THEORY is the Earth is as old as the substance it is made of and that dates back to the supposed Big Bang and probably beyond.
2) From my studies, there is no way to know whether or not a supposed transitional fossil actually came from a creature that existed for a while then went extinct. There is much evidence that the fossil evidence of Earth disproves the THEORY (not fact) of evolution. However, blind faith in atheist science brainwashed believers ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to accept it. The blind faith in science atheists tend to be absolutely certain about things they are NOT absolutely certain of. Case in point THE PILTDOWN MAN. I would have been arguing with them for about 40 YEARS over the matter only to eventually find I was RIGHT ALL ALONG AND THEY WERE DEAD WRONG!!!
3) Magicians may use illusions to make you think they can make something appear from nothing and they may be so good at it they can fool magicians like Penn & Teller and win an award for doing so. However, any magician will tell you that the only way you can TRULY make something appear from nothing is if you are able to PERFORM MIRACLES.
To say that all the matter in the Universe exploded out from nothing and that the information in DNA put itself there BY ACCIDENT is to say that

They are made of some incredible unfathomable energy and atoms are mostly composed of empty 'vacuum' space.
If that were not amazing enough, the vacuum space in atoms was found to be composed of some unspeakable energy that scientists are trying to tap into. They call it "Zero Point Energy"

Those secretly in charge of the world obviously want a population of people chasing after happiness OUTSIDE OF THEMSELVES. They want a population absolutely certain that being financially rich and having lots of 'stuff' is the secret to true happiness. Tale after tale of those who reach that pinnacle and are miserable are suppressed. No, they don't want YOU to know that true happiness comes from within and must be EARNED through a well disciplined mind and life; not by buying a product. There are no "enlightenment" pills and I don't foresee any created in the near distant future. Enlightenment MUST be earned, period!
I believe it is this mysterious 'Zero Point Energy' that accounts for everything that exists in the Universe. It is said that all electrons and protons that make up atoms are 'popping' in and out of this existence all the time. Where do they go when they 'pop' out of this reality? It is a great mystery.
Some believe it may be possible to tap into this Zero Point Energy field with consciousness. I know this much: If I ever succeed in tapping into the Zero Point Energy field, through advanced meditation, and can suddenly manipulate my personal reality I WILL KEEP IT SECRET!!! The core problem with science, as I see it, is it was born from a tremendous hatred for the religion that had so many wise and intelligent people tortured and killed for sharing truths the church did not even want to consider. The church had set themselves up as the INFALLIBLE REPRESENTATIVES OF GOD and they were not about to allow ANYONE to usurp their "divine" authority.
So, when science was FINALLY able to break free from Christian persecution they responded with a WELL-JUSTIFIED vengeance. So they turned their backs on the possibility of their being a God.
Modern science is polluted with this original prejudice. That is why they will officially accept no answers that point towards their being an Intelligent Designer of the Universe. I don't blame them. If I were living in the days of Catholic persecutions I would be killing angry as well. However, I was not born and lived during those days. All those guilty Catholics are long dead and probably burning in horrible hells of their own making.

If you are closed off to any except your pre-determined possibilities there IS NO POSSIBLE WAY you can be a true critical thinker. He says that if the entire universe were the size of the Earth it would make the Earth about the size of an average atom. Whether true or not, I've had that feeling for some time. That from a universal perspective, our sun is the proton and the orbiting planets are the electrons in an average 'ATOM' of the 'body' of the Universe!
I was just studying about Rene Descartes. This in my interpretation of what I learned and how I apply it: Descartes said that he could imagine himself existing without a body, but he could not imagine himself existing without a mind. I would take that a step further. I can imagine existing without a body. However, can I imagine existing with a mind that has no consciousness? I cannot. Thus I feel the terms Mind, Soul, Spirit and Consciousness are different ways of saying the exact same thing. It's like the blind men describing an elephant when they are only allowed to touch completely different parts of the animal. They are describing the exact same being, but from different perspectives.
Atheist scientists may not agree, but they do so on BLIND FAITH. They have no scientific experiments, I have heard of, that demonstrate how mind, soul, spirit and consciousness are completely different 'things'. When something that works better comes along I intend to be ready to embrace it.

MY COMMENT:
I'd like to see scientific experiments demonstrating how man can have a spirit, soul, or mind without having consciousness. Seems quite logical to me to conclude that the human Soul, Spirit, Mind and Consciousness are one and the same thing. If you feel they are not do you base your belief on scientific evidence or BLIND FAITH??
Accusing atheists of having BLIND FAITH has to be one of the biggest insults I can say to them. However, they are too brainwashed STUPID to see how they have BLIND FAITH in science and scientific journals. Whatever mainstream science may say the atheists tend to believe with the tenacity of nuns who blindly believe in the Pope. It is ridiculously stupid. THEY are ridiculously stupid to treat scientific journals like HOLY SCRIPTURE.
People are brainwashed into wanting to categorize others. Oh, you're a "theist" or you're an "atheist". They are determined to put people into convenient boxes. If you happen to not fit comfortably in pre-made categorization 'boxes' you're crazy. In order to be truly 'sane' by the standards of the HOPELESSLY BRAINWASHED you simply MUST fit comfortably into a social categorization box. If you do not fit comfortably you are summarily 'tossed' into the big 'he's just crazy' box.
I THINK FOR MYSELF!!! I do not allow scientists or religious fanatics to do my thinking for me. My conclusions are fluid and always changing with the reality of my empirical experiences. It's a matter of being comfortable being uncertain as to what "reality" actually is. I believe my senses are easily tricked. They are telling me a limited interpretation of some great apparently unfathomable mystery that is apparently 'out there'. However, whatever is going on "out there" is actually electrical signals interpreted by my brain. For me there is no "out there". There is only what my brain is interpreting through my easily tricked senses.
SO WHAT EXACTLY IS REALITY? Science seemed to know until new discoveries in the science of Quantum Physics threw every preconceived notion of "reality" up into the proverbial air. According to my studies the famous Einstein could not accept what was being discovered. He supposedly called it, 'spooky actions at a distance' or something to that effect. Supposedly Einstein spent MANY YEARS trying to disprove the discoveries of Quantum Physics until he finally gave up and realized HE WAS WRONG and the Quantum Physicists were right all along!!

Their 'sacred' science journals are regulated and controlled. THE CONCEPT OF MIND OVER MATTER COULD BE PROVEN SCIENTIFICALLY!!!
This is the core of what Einstein meant when he said 'spooky actions at a distance' for that is indeed a way to describe the concept of 'mind over matter'.

I was suddenly inspired to do some research on Leif Erickson. At the 3:40 mark of the video documentary, in this post, it says there are two "sagas" recounting the life of Leif Erickson. In places they overlap. in other places they contradict each other.
I instantly thought of professor Ehrman and his work. Amazing how people can blindly believe a Biblical 'saga' is infallible and inerrant. That now seems to be as insane as saying the Leif Erickson 'sagas' are infallible and inerrant.If we were to ask Christians why it would be insane to consider the sagas of Leif Erickson to be infallible and inerrant I feel they would be citing the same basic reasons why we should not consider the Biblical 'sagas' to be infallible and inerrant.
The 'sagas' of Jesus Christ overlap in some places and contradict in other places. Very much like the 'sagas' of Leif Erickson. Would SOMEONE please tell me what makes the 'sagas' of Jesus infallible and inerrant and the 'sagas' of Leif Erickson not?

What he either doesn't know or won't say is that IF YOU HAVE SEX with the opposite sex you upset your energetic balance. If you are male you will become dependent on getting female energy from the woman. The converse is true if you are a woman.
SO, to reach the highest levels of awareness, from the third-dimension, you must ADVANCE TO CELIBACY. This does not mean you deny yourself of anything. It means you finally realize just how much you lose, energetically, when you have sex and casually no longer need to upset your energetic balance by having sex.
As you rise to such levels you automatically look at people differently. For myself, I've found that my standards for feminine beauty are so high that most women practically look as sexually attractive as monkeys to me. As for the women who meet my high standards, they are VERY FEW and far between. Plus you can probably bet your soul there is some crazy jealous guy in the background ready to kill anyone who has sex with her so you might as well not waste your time.

The best way to do this is to move away from EVERYONE you know and who knows your personality. Their presence will always keep you chained to who you were. To become a master of manifesting means you have to cut the proverbial chains of your past and stop dragging all that emotional baggage around UNLESS you are using it to motivate you to greater success.
People don't want things that much. Most are not willing to sacrifice whatever it may take to be successful. within moral boundaries. They choose the love of their limiting relatives and friends over the manifesting of their dream and, of course, they fail as a result and, also of course, want to blame the philosophy.
LOSERS REFUSE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DECISIONS THEY HAVE MADE WHICH HAVE CREATED THE VERY LIVES THEY LEAD!!!

You have to completely revolutionize your thinking. If you can't even envision winning that medal you might as well not bother trying.
If you are determined to win an Olympic Gold Medal you have to become borderline obsessed with training. It has to become your whole world. Everything you do and eat is geared towards making you the best you have ever been in order to win.
You can't afford to associate with ANYONE who wants to bring you down
You have to cut all such people OUT OF YOUR LIFE or you can forget about winning that Gold Medal
Like Arnold did when reaching for the Mr Olympia title, you have to do whatever it takes, within moral reason, and eliminate everyone and everything from your life that is holding you down.
Of course, those pushing The Secret would not openly reveal this because the full truth of the matter would have sabotaged the sales of the DVD and the book!!!
THE CRIME OF THE SECRET, as Oprah Winfrey found out the hard way, is they make it sound so easy that any weak-willed, wishy-washy person can apply it and have guaranteed results.
Now, in certain things you may have quick and easy results. However, when it comes to realizing a lifelong dream it's going to take more than just wishing for it and releasing it to the Universe. You have to PROVE you really want that manifestation for as long as it takes to manifest it. If you are not willing to do so FORGET ABOUT BEING SUCCESSFUL with The Secret philosophy.
Being successful in any great thing will most probably take everything you've got for as long as it takes. You have to develop the art of using adversity to your advantage always ready to come out on top no matter what may happen.
The process is not as easy as The Secret would make it sound.
They said they used The Secret to create The Secret DVD. Did they just envision it, release it to the Universe and that's it? NO FRIGGIN BLOODY WAY!!! It took a hell of a lot of hard work dealing with disappointment after disappointment and being determined to succeed no matter what!!
Well, that's what it will most probably take to manifest any great thing in your life!

Is NOT the philosophy. The overall philosophy has proven true and useful in my life.
The core problem is they make it seem so easy for any average weak-minded moron to do. Sorry, but things worth having, in life, are often VERY DIFFICULT to achieve and accomplish. You have to REALLY, REALLY want it or you will give up when the going gets tough.
If you just read The Secret, or watch the DVD, you will feel that you never have to worry about the going getting tough between yourself and what you are aiming to accomplish. You will not be warned that things might get VERY DIFFICULT and if you don't hang in there and refuse to give up you will NOT accomplish your manifestation.
THAT'S VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW!!!
The Secret doesn't tell you this. You have to find it out for yourself THE HARD WAY, of course, AFTER you buy the DVD and/or book.
Besides that, The Secret is fantastic. Just because you are too much of a LOSER to make the philosophy work for YOU doesn't automatically mean others cannot make it work. It only means YOU cannot make it work.
Losers can't make much of any good thing work in their miserably skeptical lives. That's why they are LOSERS!!

The only way to realize your dream is you have to move FAR AWAY from such people and not associate with them much at all. You can't be telling them everything you are doing because, even over the phone, they will sabotage your dreams...out of love. All she ever really wants to do is make people fat. "Are you hungry?" is her theme song.
So, if you have such people in your lives 'who love you', know for a fact that as long as you continue to associate with such people you might as well throw the Secret in the trash because THEY WON'T LET YOU MAKE IT WORK!!!

I'd say the worst thing that can possibly happen is for the Spirit to grant your request coupled with all kinds of penalties and horrible consequences because of the manifestation. Sounds to me like this manifestation would be accompanied by all kinds of problems, like death row jail-time.
