So, did consciousness exist before matter? Well, when you even conceive of such concepts which comes into play first your insubstantial consciousness or your body? OBVIOUSLY your consciousness is the part of you that conceives such philosophical concepts. There is no indication that your body is doing anything other than regulating its corporeal existence. The brain runs the autonomic functions of the body. The brain uses its senses to send electronic impulses through the brain to be interpreted by your consciousness. It is your consciousness that makes sense of the reality you experience NOT YOUR BRAIN!!
Consciousness comes first when you conceive of any great philosophical premise. If you choose to create some great invention what comes first? An idea in your consciousness or a physical act?

Accept it or not, we have been programmed, through the educational system, to accept the opinions of official authority figures as 'god honest fact' at face value. If you are going to make the claim that this is not so be prepared to back it up with repeatable, observable scientific experiments or else all you have is BLIND FAITH that it is not so. Now, if you agree with me you will not be required to produce anything. If you disagree YOU ARE REQUIRED to do so to prove you have repeatable, observable scientific experiments to back up your stance.
